Sugar Rush World of Illumination Light Display: World’s Largest in Marietta this Holiday Season

Sugar Rush World of Illumination Light Display: World's Largest in Marietta this Holiday Season

Marietta is home to the world’s largest drive-thru light display this holiday season and it is a must-do for the family! Candy Rush presented by World of Illumination is a socially distanced, fun, and safe way to experience the magic of the season!

The one-mile long drive-thru experience is fun for all ages. Here are some highlights and tips from our trip on opening night:

  • Grab a snack (we opted for Chick-fil-a milkshakes to pair nicely with the Candy Rush theme) on your way to the White Water parking lot where the display is taking place.
  • Once you arrive, pull up your e-ticket to ensure you are ready to enter (we arrived 10 minutes after the gates opened and had to wait about 15 minutes total until we were ready to enter the display as they ensure cars are spaced accordingly).
  • Once in the light display, tune your radio to the station displayed as the music is synced with the light show.
  • Let the kids look at the windows/sunroof – only if they can buckle back up themselves! We let our two kids get out of their seats so they could get closer out of the windows. It’s important to note when you exit the display you go straight onto Hwy 41 and there is no time or place to buckle little ones into car seats, so make sure those that get out can get back in on their own.
  • Give the kids a heads up that there is a special guest {Santa Claus himself} waiting to hear about their Christmas lists about 1/2 way through the experience.
  • Ticket info:
    • Tickets are per car (limos, RVs, and busses are not allowed)
    • Open nightlight from 6:00-10:00 p.m. from Nov. 20, 2020 – Jan. 3, 2021
    • Weeknight tickets are $35; Weekend and Holiday tickets are $45
    • MUST PURCHASE TICKET ONLINE.

The kids (and adults) are sure to enjoy the sugar plum fairies, gingerbread village, candy canes, and light tunnels. With over 2 million lights, no matter the age, you will be impressed.
